Why Am I Feeling Trapped - Midlife Routines & Traps

Have you ever gotten tired of repeating the same routines everyday?

It feels like you’re watching the same movie over and over with no plot change or plot twist. It’s fun the first time, you may even watch the movie a few times and not get tired. However, no matter how good a movie is, when you only watch the same movie consistently every day, it starts to get boring.

The same principle applies to routines.

Routines are good, but from time to time, you need a change of scenery

Sometimes we get stuck in the middle of routines, schedules, and a permanent way of life that leaves us “wondering out loud.” We know that we need more but we don't seem to know how to connect new levels and new routines.

We have built structures but they seem to have caged us.

The social structures we built that kept us stable and grounded seem to be grinding us.

Affiliations that promised us ‘nirvana’ seem to keep it in the future forever.

How do we create a new life?

First, decide that nothing is cast in stone and that anything can change. Then, begin to change things one by one.

Question all your assumptions about everything: your location, residence, social and spiritual connections. Rethink everything and begin a ‘Change Project’. Give yourself 365 - 730 days to achieve total change in everything around you.

It only starts with a clear decision of what you want and who you want to be.

Begin today!

Yes, you can do it. You have the capacity to do it.

“We are what we repeatedly do, excellence, then, is not an act but a habit” - Aristotle.

Flow with yourself in a state of pleasure, delight, creativity and happiness. This is the process where we are completely immersed in life.

It is important to develop to a place where we create “optimal experience”.

This optimal experience is the state in which you are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter. The experience of “doing” is beyond enjoyable and you will do it at great cost for the sheer sake of doing it. So, look for the opportunity to create high doses of concentration.

How do we get to the point of an optimal experience?

And when we get there, how do we stay in that flow?

  • Know what to do.

  • Know how to do it.

  • Know how well you are doing.

  • Know where to go.

  • Perceive significant challenges.

  • Perceive significant skills.

  • Free yourself from distractions.

You can liberate yourself from your daily routine cycles and seek out an Optimal Experience.

Begin your Change Project today.

You don’t know where to start? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
